While Bend may not be particularly urban, it’s our little city. I love the juxtaposition of spring flowers blooming next to the road.

Zane! You are 12 years old today. We are grateful everyday that you are part of our family. You fill our lives with joy and laughter. You feel deeply, you love with your whole being. You've managed to defy medical science by thriving and growing on a bare minimum of fruits and vegetables. You are simply amazing. We love you much!

Photography and walks in the desert before it gets hot. The boys are both doing a photography course this summer and wanted to get some shots in the desert. Jake and Grandpa in their happy place. Their rock stack clock was keeping perfect time, Jude was willing to lay down in the dirt to get a good shot, bones make interesting subjects, walking and talking with my Dad. Excellent morning.

It's true. All the emotions!
