I lead an after school STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) Club. This week, I am excited to be teaching a lesson on Sculpture. We’ll be creating sculptures inspired by the sculptures of Alberto Giacometti. The kids will sketch poses and then create their sculptures – we’re covering them in foil to give them the feeling of bronze/metal sculptures.
I had to create a prototype to share with the students so I chose to give my creation some quick karate lessons and placed him in a knife hand, back stance.
He took to karate quite quickly, but he’s a bit stiff.
