So this week, I chose to colorize a photo. I used a black & white image of my Mom when she was in 8th grade, I believe. She’s gorgeous! You can read some of her writings & thoughts here.
I used this tutorial.
Overall, I’m pretty pleased. I’m not very good at masking, but I got better as I went along. The colors aren’t particularly subtle, but I love the look of colorized photos.

It’s good to know how to do this for future reference. It was a challenge too, which was nice.
