2016 Photo a Day – Days 38-45

Day 38 – Out for a night time walk with Jake and Jude. I am fascinated with trees and I was happy to have been able to capture these beauties at night.

Day 39 – I love this guy. He wanted to wear his sunglasses to bed so that he could be “cool in bed”. He cracks me up.

Day 40 – I have heaps of jewelry. Heaps. I mean it, heaps. I’m a magpie – sparkly!

Day 41 – This was the first time that I made it all the way into bed, head down, ready to sleep when I remembered that I hadn’t taken a photo on this day. Sigh. So you get a shot of one of my owls. And goodnight.

Day 42 – This was my help out at school day. I love it so much. I get to hang out with my kids and their classes and I often get to do crafty things along with a variety of other tasks. In Zane’s first grade class, they were going to make a President’s Day project so I got to make the example copy.

Day 43 – The last school day before Valentine’s Day so there were parties and candy and the exchanging of cards all around. I helped out at Zane’s class party by doing a photobooth. It’s great fun to see the kids in all their goofiness and joy.

Day 44 – Our family hiked up Pilot Butte which is a dormant volcano in the middle of Bend, Oregon, our town. It’s cool to take in the views and comment on the places that are meaningful for us. The hospital where both my boys and their cousin were born, their school, Grandma and Grandpa’s house, and Zane always gets very excited when he spots the three smoke stacks in the Old Mill District.

Day 45 – Off to the Painted Hills. Amazing. I took heaps of photos of course. I loved this photo in particular because Jude had the idea that he would take a plant and use it as a paint brush and he would pretend that he was painting the hills.
