Day 116 – I often go for a wander outside the dojo when the boys are in karate class. I am drawn to pretty things – flowers and plants, but I’m also on the look out for interesting things. There’s a patch of undeveloped land near the dojo and I found this unusual plant on the ground that was dead or dying and it had a very cool spiral.

Day 117 – The boys spent several hours at McDonald’s while we had a fund raiser for school They brought a bunch of Lego which I was so thankful for. It was also very popular with the other kids!

Day 118 – This is my Jude and I love him dearly – full of imagination and fun and he might be the Karate Kid.

Day 119 – This tailgate has been with Colin and I for so many years – a friend gave it to us before we had kids and we used it for ages as a coffee table. now it hangs out in the backyard.

Day 120 – Here he is again. It’s his birthday week so I’ve taken lots of photos of him. This is Jude getting ready for bed. He’s had Beaver for so many years and he’s a bit worse for the wear, but still so precious. Jude and I have many great conversations while he is going to bed. He’s an amazingly deep and thoughtful boy. This is him on his 9th birthday.

Day 121 – Bubble time.

Day 122 – Jude had a Narnia birthday party today. Thankfully, I’ve been collecting Narnia stuff for years as both the boy’s nurseries were Narnia themed. I’m thrilled that Jude chose to have a Narnia birthday party.

Day 123 – Jake the Dog. He’s hard to get photos of because he very seldom stops moving.

Day 124 – Sad Face. This was the first day that I completely missed a whole day. No photos on my phone, none on my DSLR. It was a packed day and I just blanked it. I’ve done this before, but always remembered before the morning. Not so today. Sigh.
Day 125 – Leaves in the sun after the rain.

Day 126 – Zane wore his farmer hat to school because they are working on a farm project. I love this shot of him. I love the light hitting his neck.

Day 127 – I sculpted a bit today. It’s only a small sculpture, but it felt so good to create, to take something out of my thoughts and off the pages of my sketch book and make it real. It’s a bust with copper wire that i stripped from an old phone charger. It spirals around his head and is both whimsical and entrapping.
