I’m a magpie and I love sparkle!
There are many types of dramatic weather – clouds and storms and wind and lightning. We went on a road trip and experienced sort of a lack of weather that was dramatic in its own right. Lots of sun and very little else.
My parents have been holding hands for many, many years – since high school. They’ve been married for 54 years. I love their hands.
It only takes an amazing handmade battle and a child’s imagination to turn a young boy from Oregon into Thorin Oakenshield from Middle Earth.

Can you tell I’m playing catch up after being stalled out for a few weeks? This was a fun one – I had heaps of ideas, but this is the one that I went with. It’s the boys clasping hands together. There is so much texture in hands and skin – the creases and folds.
While Bend may not be particularly urban, it’s our little city. I love the juxtaposition of spring flowers blooming next to the road.
The week 16 challenge totally stalled me out! I have heaps of ideas and several friends who volunteered to let me capture them in motion, but scheduling just didn’t work.
